The Medieval Hall Courtyard Garden
is a little oasis just off the top of Stroud High Street in Swan Lane, that has been enjoyed by the public for more than 30 years. Then in May 2014 a planning application was made to enclose the garden with a 5' tall rendered breeze block wall.

The application was withdrawn but owners Stroud Preservation Trust now say that they are unable to ensure that the garden remains open to the public.
